After the tour, we head towards Krakow, where Eskil will leave us. He was some find of a fellow passenger – set up the GPS in Kiel and installed the Blaupunkt stereo – lovely with music in the vehicle. A fellow passenger is important when I am on expeditions in Eastern Europe. The vehicle is full of equipment and in the event of an engine failure or similar, someone has to stay at the car to look after it.
It is hard to find fellow passengers at my own age, they are usually stuck in too much, but it is great to travel with younger people who gives me a young energy. Eskil was one of the best and I will miss him when the journey continues. Alex will take his place and we travel further. We are supposed to have a one night stop i Tokaj in Hungary before we enter Romania the next morning.
